happy birthday to ME

It's my birthday today. I want to thank everyone who spoils me.

Mom & dad... thanks for everything.. thanks for calling.. thanks for making me soup mommy (yup.. my mom made me soup and freezed it before she left for HK... so.. I have home-made soup when she's away.. how sweet is that!)

Queenie (my beloved moju!!)... Thanks for everything.. you are the best all the time.. MISS YOU!

Quick Updates

It has been a long time since I wrote my xanga. Happy new year!!

Many things had happened in these few months. My laptop broke down... I went on a trip with my family from HK and Holland (yup.. family trip)... my brother moved back to HK for good.... new laptop... and I went on a trip to the United Kingdom with my beloved moju... and on my own to Barcelona...

Instead of writing about all these, I would like to share some pictures with you... I will write about them when I have more time (time to catch up some work now.. hehe)

I am finally being recognized at work. My boss, Gerry, met with me on Wednesday and officially told me that I am going to be a consultant by next month. Surprise surprise, my supervisor decided to start the process earlier. Yesterday, I officially get my first family as a behavioural consultant. I am very excited about that.

My family is in town for my brother's graduation. It should be exciting to have them visiting. Yet, I find it extremely stressful since I am not getting much sleep. I sleep in the living room this few days. I can hardly sleep since there are people walking around, chatting, watching TV... Moreover, I am the only person who need to go to work. They don't seem to realize that. *sigh*

BODY WORLD

There's the body world exhibition thing at the Science World in Vancouver. I went to check it out with my friends. It was awesome. It's a amazing how technology can preserve human beings' body. It's a little scary when I start thinking about those are dead bodies. Anyways, it was very cool and it totally worth the time and money to check it out.

EMERGENCY

I was running a team meeting today. The neighbour of the family, who is a elderly man, fainted at the door. His wife knocked at the door to seek for help. Since none of the people in the house at the time speak both Chinese and English, I called 911 for them. I was so scared that I wanna cry. But I couldn't. I was told that the man was unconscious and had difficulty in breathing. Everyone in the house was freaking out. I was the only person who could do the translation, so I tried to stay calm. The ambulance arrived and the doctors did a check up for the gentleman. Fortunately, he was conscious when they arrived . He was able to respond to my questions when I was translating for the doctors. He was sent to the hospital for a check-up. I am glad that it seemed like he was feeling better when he left for the hospital. I ended the meeting early. When I walked out of the house, I was relieved. I have never run into situation like this before. What an experience!
